Michigan pulls FSU legacy recruit out of Florida

Could Michigan football's big season on the field lead to an even bigger winter on the recruiting trail? 

The Wolverines picked up their second verbal commitment of December with the pledge of Devin Bush Jr. on Wednesday. 

Bush is a three-star linebacker per Scout.com but a four-star prospect according to Rivals.com and 24/7 Sports. 

Yet his commitment could be more meaningful because of his home state. 

Bush is from Pembroke Pines, Fla., and the fifth player from the Sunshine State to pick the Wolverines for 2016. 

He is also the son of a former Florida State standout, though in an interview with Scout.com the younger Bush made it sound like his father did not try to push him in any certain direction. 

Also of note: Bush is the third player from Charles H. Flanagan High School to join Jim Harbaugh's 2016 class, following safety Josh Metellus and linebacker Devin Gil. 

Following Bush's commitment, Michigan's 2016 class moved up to sixth in the country in Scout's rankings, but Harbaugh is certainly not done adding future Wolverines for this cycle. 

Earlier in December, Michigan got a verbal commitment from Nathan Johnson, a three-star receiver from Tennessee. 

“The first time (my dad) told me that he was going to take me up to Michigan, I was like, ‘what is Michigan? I never heard of that place in my life. I’d never been there and I didn’t even want to go there. We got up there and we both were kind of blown away. This is really real of what we’re seeing right now. Something we had never seen before, so it was a great experience for both of us.”
