Memphis QB Paxton Lynch has record-setting first half against SMU

Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch enjoyed himself immensely on Saturday against SMU.

The junior signal-caller out of Florida went 9 of 14 for 222 yards and seven touchdowns against the Mustangs in the first half. If one were to keep track at home, this means that 77.8 percent of Lynch's throws went for scores. Interestingly enough, the seven went to seven different players.

His mark of seven touchdown throws ties an FBS record for the most in any half. Lynch also accrued a Memphis single-game record for most touchdown tosses -- with yet another half of football remaining.

Suffice it to say, but Lynch was feeling it in Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium. He was lifted at halftime of the 63-0 victory.
