Maryland Football: Week 13 bowl projections
The Maryland football team finally ended their losing skid on Saturday against Rutgers.
In coach D.J. Durkin’s first season with the program, the Terrapins finished with a 6-6 record and gained bowl eligibility.
With that being said, Maryland will be traveling to play a postseason game sometime in December. While it’s not going to be a marquee bowl game, it’s certainly a huge accomplishment for a team that only won three games last season.
Obviously, there’s still conference championships to played, so the bowl pairings could look a whole lot different in the future.
At the moment, this is where some of the major publications have the Terps going bowling.

It’s safe to say that many think that Maryland will be traveling to Detroit to play in the Quick Lane Bowl. For the last week or two, the Terps have been projected to be playing in the Quick Lane Bowl.
The Quick Lane Bowl pits the ACC against the Big Ten and Boston College seems to be the most likely scenario for the Terps.
The Eagles finished out the regular season with a 6-6 mark and topped Wake Forest 17-14 this past Saturday. That was one of only two ACC victories for Boston College with a 21-14 win coming against NC State in late October.
It certainly appears that the Terps could be bound for the Motor City in a few weeks. For the first year under a new regime, that’s definitely not a bad thing at all.
