Maryland coach DJ Durkin lands star recruit Joshua Kaindoh

New Maryland head coach DJ Durkin got some great news Saturday afternoon: Joshua Kaindoh, ranked as the nation's No. 1 defensive end prospect, announced that he's "very excited and eager" to say that committed to the Terrapins.

The 6-6, 255-pounder plays at IMG Academy in Florida. Verbal commitments are non-binding, but this is still a big statement for Durkin, a protege of both Urban Meyer and Jim Harbaugh, as he tries to re-energize the Terps program.
