Marist QB White not returning
(STATS) - Marist's all-time leading passer Mike White will not use his final season of eligibility this year.
White, who sat out his true freshman season in 2014, is scheduled to graduate after the spring semester. He's been Marist's starting quarterback the last three seasons, and holds school career records for attempts (1,136), completions (575) and passing yards (7,845), and ranks second in touchdown passes (47) to his predecessor, Chuckie Looney.
White was named to the Pioneer Football League second team in 2016.
Redshirt sophomore Jacob Hallenbeck is the leading candidate to take over the starting role.
