Marcus Johnson Commits to 2018 USC Recruiting Class
The 2018 USC recruiting class got a little bigger on Saturday, as four-star cornerback Marcus Johnson out of Hawkins High in LA committed to the Trojans.
Marcus Johnson, a 5-foot-10, 165-pound corner, is rated as the 127th overall recruit in the 247Sports Composite in the 2018 recruiting class. He ranks as the 19th best player in the state of California.

Johnson currently has a dozen Division-I offers, including the likes of national powers like Notre Dame, Nebraska and Tennessee, but ultimately pledges to the Trojans 14 months before Signing Day 2018.
That’s a day shaping up nicely thus far, as Johnson becomes the fourth commitment of USC’s 2018 class. Five-star quarterback Matt Corral headlines the quartet, along with Oaks Christian teammate Bo Calvert, and Narbonne star Raymond Scott, both of whom are four-star linebackers.
As for Johnson, he’s the younger brother of highly coveted four-star athlete and Hawkins High teammate Greg Johnson, the 102nd-ranked recruit in the 247Sports Composite.
It all raises the question as to the possibility of the Trojans landing both brothers. Greg Johnson just de-committed from Arizona last week, and has been heavily recruited by USC, Notre Dame and Nebraska since.
For now however, the Trojans’ depth at cornerback going forward looks strong. Though USC doesn’t have a cornerback committed to the 2017 class after Wylan Free de-committed earlier this week, the 2016 class included Jack Jones and Keyshawn Young.
