Malzahn names Auburn's starting QB for game against Arkansas

Despite a 4-2 record halfway through the schedule, Auburn has failed to live up to the preseason hype thanks in large part to an inconsistent offense. Coming off the win at Kentucky, Auburn's first SEC win of the season, head coach Gus Malzahn is sticking with what works.

Malzahn confirmed what many had suspected Tuesday and announced the team would start redshirt freshman Sean White on the road at Arkansas this weekend.

"Road wins in the SEC are hard to come by," Malzahn said during his introductory press conference Tuesday. "Last week was really the first time we got in a rhythm... the bye (week) helped, no doubt."

White is completing 66 percent of his passes and has thrown for 551 yards this season. White has yet to throw a touchdown but does have one interception, which he threw against Mississippi State in his first career start.
