LSU's Les Miles recalls meeting Syracuse great Jim Brown as a child
Nostalgia is a unique aspect of the sporting world. It's special to look back at your childhood, where a favorite player or team would manifest itself. Often times, this helps to form the basis for why one cultivates a love for sports in the first place.
As for Ohio native and current LSU head coach Les Miles, he grew up watching arguably the best football player of all time in former Syracuse and Cleveland Browns star Jim Brown.
Miles, who's Tigers will face Syracuse on Saturday, spoke about a childhood memory during his Wednesday press conference. As a young boy, he watched Brown play in person. After a game, he jumped over a barricade and walked the field to see Brown up close. From there, a special memory ensued which will surely last throughout Miles' lifetime.
As Miles said during meeting with the press, "Jim Brown was bigger than life."
