LSU's Jefferson scores on 1st play back
Jordan Jefferson has scored a touchdown for top-ranked LSU in his return to the field since his suspension was lifted this past week.
The were a few boos in Tiger Stadium on Saturday when coach Les Miles initially sent Jefferson in on fourth-and-goal from the Kentucky 1. Then it was all cheers as Jefferson stretched across the goal line on a quarterback sneak, giving LSU a 7-0 lead. Jefferson later exchanged high-fives with the entire offensive line.
Jefferson missed unbeaten LSU's first four games after being arrested on a felony battery charge in connection with an Aug. 19 bar fight. A grand jury reduced the charge to a misdemeanor last Wednesday, leading Miles to reinstate Jefferson as a backup to Jarrett Lee.
