LSU Football: Tigers lose yet another QB commit in Lowell Narcisse

For the LSU Football program, it’s been a season of great change. Many athletes have come and gone from the team. The latest of those to leave the Tigers’ recruiting class is QB commit Lowell Narcisse.

The four-star quarterback announced Monday morning that he was de-committing from the Tigers, opening up his recruitment once more. This comes at a rough time for LSU since pro-style commit Myles Brennan also recently announced that he was re-evaluating his options. It is believed that the changes on coaching staff have a lot to do with the two quarterbacks’ decisions.

Narcisse said via Twitter that the situation was one that he had “thought and prayed long about”, and that he still thought LSU was a great school.

His decision to back out of his commitment from LSU took place just two weeks after visiting with the Auburn Tigers, who have targeted the young recruit for quite some time now. Narcisse took a visit last night from current Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn, just before the dead period for recruiting began. Narcisse is expected to be an early enrollee.

Narcisse was actually committed to the school during his junior year of high school, but retracted the decision in favor of LSU this past summer. The dual-threat QB had also received some attention from Alabama among other prestigious programs, but declined the Crimson Tide’s offer.

Will Narcisse wind up right back where he started in his recruiting?

If Narcisse does indeed end up with the Auburn Tigers, he will be in competition with recent commit and five-star junior college recruit Jarrett Stidham who was previously at Baylor.
