Louisville Football: ESPN's bowl projections going into week seven

We take a look at where ESPN projects Louisville football to be playing when bowl season comes around in December and January.

It’s pretty much a guess at this point, but for some schools the football season is already halfway complete. Louisville football on the other hand, still has seven games left to play on their schedule and they will need to win all of them to have a chance at the College Football Playoff.

Houston’s loss definitely made things harder for the Cardinals, as that was going to be a top-five matchup for the Cards in late November, however, according to Brett McMurphy and Mark Schlabach, Louisville may have more of a quality schedule than we realized.

Here are the bowl projections for Louisville and all potential eligible teams on their 2016 schedule:

The Louisville football team was once again projected to make the 2016 Capital One Orange Bowl against Tennessee or Wisconsin. Even though that may seem like a disappointment to most Cards’ fans, I can promise you that it is not. A matchup of either of those two games would be huge for the program and recruiting.

With that being said, the dream of going to the playoffs isn’t dead until the four teams are announced. Until then, root against every team in front of Louisville and hope for the best.
