Louisville Football: Encouraging statistics from the Marshall game

Louisville football was finally able to put away the Marshall Thundering Herd Saturday evening by the final score of 59-28.

In a game where it seemed like the Louisville football couldn’t get in a rhythm, they actually played a pretty solid football game after all. Lamar Jackson had another incredible evening, while Louisville’s defense had another stellar outing.

Brandon Radcliff and Cole Hikutini are two guys who do not get enough credit by the national media for their impact on this year’s Louisville football team. Radcliff is always dependable and Hikutini is one of the best tight-ends in the entire ACC. Louisville’s offense has so many great weapons that these two can sometimes go unnoticed.

James Hearns and DeVonte Fields also had great evenings as Hearns forced a fumble and Fields with an interception.

Louisville can now move their full attention towards one of the biggest games in program history next Saturday against Clemson. For all intents and purposes, next weekend is the ACC Championship game.
