Louisville Football: Eli Rogers had a career day for the Steelers
We take a look at how former Louisville Football player Eli Rogers performed for the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday against the Ravens.
Former Louisville football player Eli Rogers has been trying to consistently stay on the field after making the Steelers’ roster for the first time this season. He has been dealing with a toe injury that kept him out for a few weeks, but the Steelers are also looking for him to be more consistent with his play on the field as well.
Pittsburgh genuinely believes in his ability to help their offense, however the Steelers also have many talented receivers who would take his roster spot in a second.
With that being said, Rogers showed up huge for Pittsburgh on Sunday afternoon, as he was Pittsburgh’s leading receiver.

Eli Rogers: 6 receptions for 103 receiving yards on 10 targets
The great news for Eli Rogers, is that he had his best game of his career in the week that Pittsburgh was looking for him to come through. Not to mention, he was second on the team in targets, only one behind All-Pro receiver Antonio Brown.
Moving forward, Rogers needs to keep having these types of games. Like I mentioned, the Steelers are wanting him to be heavily involved in the offense, but he has to stay on the field.
That means being healthy and being available for team meetings and practices.
Either way, it seems as though Rogers is starting to fulfill his role successfully for the Steelers in the slot.
