Louisville Football: DeVante Parker's big game taken away by challenges
We take a look at how former Louisville football player DeVante Parker had two big plays taken away by challenges by the 49ers on Sunday.
Former Louisville football player DeVante Parker caught the game-winning touchdown catch against the Los Angeles Rams last weekend, but wasn’t able to reel in a score this week. He still had a solid game, but two overturned calls took Parker’s huge day out of his hands.
The Dolphins were able to get a huge win over the San Fransisco 49ers on Sunday and it looks like their offense is finally turning into the weapon they hoped it would be.
A big part of that happening is due to DeVante Parker finally being healthy.
He was second on the team with 3 receptions for 64 yards against the 49ers. However, it was the plays that he didn’t make that will make every fantasy football owner cringe when they look at their final scores from the week.

This was the first play that was overturned by a challenge, according to ESPN:
“R.Tannehill pass short right to D.Parker for 10 yards, TOUCHDOWN. The Replay Official reviewed the pass completion ruling, and the play was REVERSED. (Shotgun) R.Tannehill pass incomplete short right to D.Parker”
Not to mention, here was his second overturned catch:
“(No Huddle) R.Tannehill pass deep left to D.Parker pushed ob at SF 11 for 32 yards (T.Brock). San Francisco challenged the pass completion ruling, and the play was REVERSED. (No Huddle) R.Tannehill pass incomplete deep left to D.Parker (T.Brock).”
Having these two catches overturned proved to be huge for DeVante Parker. He wasn’t able to finish both plays and it cost him in the stat column, but it didn’t end up hurting the Dolphins and that’s what is most important.
The Dolphins, who have won six in-a-row, will head to play the Baltimore Ravens in a very tough match-up for Parker next Sunday afternoon.
