Kickoff time set for Penn State home opener

The third-ever meeting between Penn State and Buffalo will kick off at noon on Sept. 12 at Beaver Stadium, the school announced Friday. 

That is the Nittany Lions' home opener and the fourth game to receive a start time so far this year. 

As previously announced, the Nittany Lions will host Rutgers on the Big Ten Network on Sept. 19 at 8 p.m. and Indiana on Oct. 10 at noon. 

Penn State's trip to Ohio State on Oct. 17 will be another prime-time affair, kicking off at 8 p.m. 

Penn State beat Buffalo 45-24 in Happy Valley in 2007 and lost at Buffalo 10-0 in 1900.
