Kansas picks up former Missouri O-line commit

The Jayhawks have added another offensive lineman who is slated to have an immediate impact in 2015.

JayhawkSlant.com reported Tuesday that former Missouri commit Harneet Gill from Pierce College in the Los Angeles area has committed to Kansas.

The versatile 6-foot-7, 255-pound lineman played a variety of positions on both sides of the ball last fall at Pierce, but he's expected to play offensive tackle at Kansas, according to KU Sports.

Gill is originally from Missouri, but found himself in California after searching for a clean start following a disagreement with Mizzou over his injury rehab.

"My doctors and I had set up a plan and my rehab was going well," Gill told Scout.com. "When I got to Missouri in the summer, they wanted me to speed things up and I just didn't feel like it was in my best interest to speed it up and when I took it back to my doctor, they agreed with me and ultimately, I just felt like it was better for me to leave and start fresh."

Gill has three years of eligibility remaining.
