K-State's Snyder to be honored before kickoff Saturday

Kansas State coach Bill Snyder will be honored by the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Saturday prior to K-State's season-opener against South Dakota.

Snyder was voted into the NFF Hall of Fame and is  part of a class which will be officially inducted in New York with Brian Bosworth, Trev Alberts, Jim Tressell, Ricky Williams and more.

"Obviously this is a very humbling honor and I am grateful to those who nominated me, those who voted for me and the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame," Snyder said earlier this year.

Snyder is the winningest coach in school history. He's only the fourth active coach to earn induction to the Hall of Fame. Snyder has won two Big 12 titles and taken the team to 16 bowl games in his 23 seasons as coach.
