Jared Goff named to Maxwell Award watch list

Cal junior QB Jared Goff has been named to the Maxwell Award watch list for the second consecutive year. 

The Maxwell Award is given annually to the national college football player of the year. Last season, Oregon's Marcus Mariota was the recipient of the prestigious award.

Goff comes into the 2015 season as one of the best quarterbacks in the nation and has thrown for 7,481 yards and 53 touchdowns so far in his career at Cal.
