Jacksonville dominates Davidson in 56-0 win
DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) Kade Bell threw for 417 yards and six touchdowns to propel Jacksonville to a 56-0 win over Davidson on Saturday.
The six TDs tied a career-best for Bell, who was 20-for-24 passing and sat out the fourth quarter. He spread the ball around in the win, hitting five different receivers for scores, including D'Andre Randle, who hauled in a 76-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter and finished with 135 yards on four catches.
It was the first shutout win for Jacksonville (8-2, 6-1 Pioneer Football League) since 2010 and kept the Dolphins atop the conference standings.
Davidson (1-9, 0-6) was held to just 251 offensive yards as Jacksonville piled up 513 in the air and another 190 on the ground to rebound from a 17-16 loss to Marist last week.
Taylor Mitchell was 16 of 35 and 141 yards passing with five interceptions for the Wildcats.
