Is Tyrus Thompson soft? At least one NFL scout thinks so

Tyrus Thompson, a three-year starter for Oklahoma, is entering the NFL Draft with an annoying label he must shake.

He's perceived as being soft.

From Sooners Illustrated: From an article in the Milwaukee Journal Constitution, one NFL Scout said that Tyrus Thompson "Has all the talent in the world but he scares the hell out of you."

Why?

He "plays soft."

Whether or not it's a fair knock, or maybe brought about by lining up to one of the more ferocious linemen in the draft, Daryl Williams, it is a perceived weakness.

Thompson has all the athleticism and skill to be an impact player at the next level. He just has to prove he has the engine to get the job done on every single play.
