Is Alabama poised to snag LSU wide receiver commitment?

2016 receiver Drake Davis delighted the LSU fan base when he gave his commitment to Les Miles' program on Jan. 2.

The 6'4" pass-catcher is an exceptional talent -- possessing multiple qualities needed to succeed on the collegiate level. While committed to the Tigers, Davis took an official visit to Alabama this past weekend.

Did Nick Saban and his championship pedigree cause Davis to change his mind and potentially go to Alabama? Via a report from SEC Country, it appears as if Davis is rock-solid with his pledge to LSU...with a bit of a caveat.

"I'm still 100-percent committed. I see myself playing for LSU, but Alabama is a great school, so you never know," said Davis. "Les Miles might leave or someone else may leave. You just never know the circumstances of what's going to happen."

It likely would take a lot for Davis to abandon his pledge to LSU. Although he prepped at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., Davis is a native of Baton Rouge. Regardless, Davis did have genuine feelings when speaking about his trip to Tuscaloosa.

"They're all about winning. It's a great school to go to, and if I want to win, I should go there," said Davis. "[The trip] went well. I loved it. It was my first time being there. It was definitely a good experience. The campus is really nice."

Davis is also slated to visit Ole Miss officially on Jan. 28.
