Iowa State's Paul Rhoads wants explanation on controversial spot
With Iowa State driving late in its potential upset bid over Oklahoma State, the refs gave the Cyclones a questionable spot on a would-be first down. Head coach Paul Rhoads was unhappy about it at the time, and he still is. He's asking for an explanation from the Big 12 office.
“They’ll tell us whether the call was correctly made,” Rhoads told reporters. "They’ll tell us the mechanics of something. They’ll tell us the letter of the law, the exact rule, and why it’s applied that way. We get excellent feedback from the Big 12 Conference in regards to that."
On the plus side, at least Rhoads applauds the Big 12's transparency. ISU is back in action against Kansas State this weekend.
