Iowa Hawkeyes welcome back lineman Sean Welsh

Starting caliber offensive lineman are hard to come by, even for a team like Iowa that puts many maulers in the NFL.

The team has welcomed back spot starting guard Sean Welsh to the team. Welsh missed most of spring practice because of personal reasons. Here is what Kirk Ferentz had to say to The Gazette:

“The guys started lifting (Monday) and training, and he was back with us,” Iowa Coach Kirk Ferentz at the I-Club stop at Thunder Hills Country Club near Dubuque. “Doing great.”

After losing two lineman to the NFL this year, the Hawkeyes will need all the bodies they can get.
