Ineligible at Baylor, Nacita will leave to keep football dream alive
Once homeless, Silas Nacita was celebrated for funding his way to Baylor and walking on the football team. The running back had an endearing nickname, "Salsa Nacho" and became a fan favorite and the feel-good story of the season.
But the story was robbed of a happy ending for Nacita at Baylor when he was ruled ineligible by the school for accepting housing from an acquaintance looking to helping him.
Now his story will move on to the next chapter at Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas, where Nacita will play football for the NAIA school.
