Indiana, Penn State standouts share Big Ten frosh weekly honor

Penn State running back Saquon Barkley had another big game Saturday and earned his second Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor as a result.

The Copley, Pa., native averaged 9.3 yards per carry as he piled up 195 yards in a 28-3 win over Rutgers. That was part of an overall 330-yard rushing day for the Nittany Lions.

Barkley was also selected freshman of the week last week after the Nittany Lions beat Buffalo.

Barkley shared the honor this week with Indiana safety Jonathan Crawford, who had a pair of interceptions as the Hoosiers improved to 3-0 with a 38-35 win over Western Kentucky.

The Florida native also had four tackles.
