Incoming transfer rated Michigan's top draft prospect

If anything clarifies the type of situation Jim Harbaugh is inheriting at Michigan, it could be an NFL draft preview for the school from CBSSports.com.

According to analyst Dane Brugler rates, one of the Wolverines' best prospects for the 2016 draft hasn't even played a down for the Maize and Blue yet. In fact, he was originally recruited by Harbaugh when the new Michigan coach held the same position at Stanford.

That would be Wayne Lyons, a senior cornerback who transferred from Stanford after earning his undergraduate degree.

Brugler sees Lyons fitting well into the new more physical style of man coverage Michigan intends to play this fall when two of the three players who got the lion's share of minutes at cornerback in 2014 will not be around.

The other two highest-rated prospects are senior linebackers James Ross and Joe Bolden.
