Hurricanes QB Brad Kaaya returns to practice

On Tuesday, Miami quarterback Brad Kaaya inched a step closer to being game ready as he returned to practice.

Kaaya, a sophomore, sat out last Saturday’s controversial 30-27 victory over Duke with a concussion. Kaaya has not yet been cleared to play when Miami (5-3, 2-2 ACC) faces Virginia (3-5, 2-2) Saturday at 3 p.m., but is a good first step.

Kaaya is currently second in the ACC with 1,846 passing yards and has thrown 10 TD passes this season.

Malik Rosier filled in for Kaaya last week and threw for 279 yards and two touchdowns during the Hurricanes stunner over the Blue Devils.
