How will Michigan replace former DC D.J. Durkin for its bowl game?

Former Michigan defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin, who was introduced Thursday morning as the new head coach at Maryland, confirmed he would not be coaching the Wolverines in their bowl game.

Thursday night, Michigan announced how it will fill the void on Jim Harbaugh's staff.

Chris Partridge, who was the coach at Paramus Catholic High School in New Jersey before being hired as director of player personnel in January, will coach the team's linebackers.

“Chris has a proven track record as a successful coach,” Harbaugh said in a statement. “He brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm to his work as our director of player personnel. I know that same passion will be exhibited on the field.”
