Houston runs over South Florida 27-3

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) Kenneth Farrow ran for 112 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead Houston past South Florida 27-3 on Saturday.

Farrow bullied in from the 1 to give the Cougars a 7-0 halftime lead. Ryan Jackson cut left and ran untouched for a 1-yard touchdown, and Greg Ward Jr. threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to Farrow to stretch the Cougar lead to 20-3 midway through the fourth quarter.

Jackson ran up the left sideline while beating two, diving South Florida defenders and scored from 24 yards out to cap the scoring for Houston (5-3, 3-1 American).

South Florida (3-6, 2-3), held to 76 yards rushing, has lost four of its last five.

Marvin Kloss kicked a 33-yard field goal in the third quarter to avoid the shutout. The Bulls' only fourth quarter drive into Cougar territory stalled when Steven Bench threw an interception to Adrian McDonald in the end zone.
