Harris and Beckner Jr. primed to be next great Mizzou defensive linemen

Under the tutelage of head coach Gary Pinkel and defensive line coach Craig Kuligowski, Missouri has become somewhat of a football-factory when it comes to sending defensive linemen to the league.

The likes of Sheldon Richardson, Shane Ray, Markus Golden, Kony Ealy, Michael Sam, Ziggy Hood, Dominique Hamilton, Lucas Vincent, Xzavie Jackson, and Aldon Smith have all had involvement in the NFL, whether it's as practice squad players, rotation members or as Pro Bowl selections.

According to Pinkel, current members Charles Harris and Terry Beckner Jr. could follow their predecessors onto the next level.

Harris was a somewhat unheralded player out of Kansas City. In fact, he was more of a basketball player than he was a football star on the high school level. As it currently stands, he leads the Tigers with 3.0 sacks and 8.0 tackles for loss.

Beckner Jr. was regarded as one of the best high school prospects for his class, regardless of position. Since the start of the season, his involvement has been steadily increasing.  Beckner Jr.'s combination of power and athleticism is truly spectacular. As he continues to develop (injury permitting), he should be a force in the SEC for years to come.
