Gundy on Oklahoma State running game: 'There's not much we can do'
Oklahoma State's achilles heel all year has been its lack of a running game, and it doesn't appear to be improving whatsoever. Oklahoma presents a stout front seven, so should the Pokes abandon the run game, for the most part, and try to beat the Sooners through the air?
That way of thinking may seem to lack discipline, but even Mike Gundy isn't optimistic about his team's ground game at this point.
"There's not much we can do from a scheme standpoint, mainly because you only have two days to prepare," Gundy said. "It's unrealistic to change that much. At this point in the season, you have more flexibility when you get into postseason play. We try to find ways within the system that we can manage to stay balanced on offense."
