Gophers' Jerry Kill named 5th best coach in Big Ten
Jerry Kill certainly has the Minnesota Golden Gophers on the upswing. After back to back eight win season and a Citrus Bowl birth last season, there are a lot of people eyeing the Gophers as a trendy pick in the Big Ten West.
Coach Kill is also rising up the ranks in terms of coaches in the league. Check out what the Sporting News had to say about him when they rated him the fifth best coach in the conference:
"Kill has taken a program that desperately wants to win and be relevant (see: brand new facilities), and forced it upon the Big Ten. The Gophers no longer are an easy out. The next step is winning games that matter in November. Kill's teams are 6-10 in November, including 1-7 vs. ranked teams (the first win was last year at Nebraska)."
If Kill is able to guide the Gophers to more success, he will continue rising the ranks of coaches in his conference.
