Arizona's new defensive coordinator Marcel Yates is known as one of the better defensive coaches in the entire country and also has the reputation as a fantastic recruiter.

Yates has spent the past two seasons as Boise State's defensive coordinator. After helping Boise State defeat Arizona in the Fiesta Bowl, his defense came back even stronger in 2015.

Boise State's defense ranked No. 22 in yards per game allowed, No. 26 in scoring defense and fourth in interceptions.
