Georgia receiver Wilson set to transfer
True freshman receiver Shaquery Wilson announced he will transfer from the program on Thursday afternoon.
A Florida native, it appears Wilson will transfer closer to home to be near his infant child.
Initially a Rivals.com 3-star recruit, he selected Georgia over offers from a host of schools -- including Arkansas, Florida, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Wilson featured in two games this season, without registering a catch. He's versatile enough to play on either side of the ball, as both a receiver and a defensive back.
He's the second player to transfer from the program since Kirby Smart took over as head coach. Quarterback Faton Bauta -- also a Florida native -- opted to also depart.
