Game Notes: No. 6 Texas A&M at No. 1 Alabama

Two college football heavyweights square off in a battle for supremacy in the SEC West on Saturday in Tuscaloosa.

Texas A&M is 6-0 on the season for the first time since 1994 when they finished the regular season undefeated under head coach R.C. Slocum. Alabama is 7-0 on the season for the time since 2013. What also happened in 2013? Trevor Knight beat the Crimson Tide in the Sugar Bowl. Just saying.

College Gameday will be at this top 10 match up on Saturday. The Aggies are undefeated when College Gameday shows up this season. Yes it’s a small sample size, no we don’t care. Last time the Aggies visited the Tide in Tuscaloosa Kenny Hill was under center and it wasn’t very pretty. But instead of reliving that traumatizing experience, watch this instead:

What They’re Saying

The Aggies are the last team to beat a #1 ranked Alabama team at home.

Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports is picking A&M outright.

Sam Khan is also picking the good guys.

All seven S.I. “experts”, not as much love for the maroon and white.

Predictions

Alabama is a heavy favorite in this one, but 19 points is a lot to lay against one of the best teams in the nation. Trevor Knight will have to play well, but my hunch is that the Ags cover the spread. For more bold calls check out our in-depth preview.
