From the gridiron to the diamond: Hunt to play baseball for Mizzou

Deion Sanders, Bo Jackson, and...Tyler Hunt?

There have been many two-sport standouts on the collegiate level. Missouri appears to have one ready to make a big impact.

A fan-favorite on the gridiron for his explosive plays and style of play, running back Tyler Hunt has joined the Mizzou baseball team as a right-handed pitcher.

A senior from Huntsville, Mo., Hunt was a standout baseball player during his time in high school. He had a scholarship offer to go play baseball at a junior college in St. Louis -- but turned down the opportunity in order to try and walk-on to the Missouri football team (which he ultimately did).

A very talented athlete, Hunt led the Missouri football team this past year in yards-per-reception, and also registered the longest reception (72 yards) and rush (78 yards) for the Tigers.
