Four Spartans picked in NFL draft

Michigan State has been known more for its tough defenses the past few years, but it was the offense that produced the most picks in the 2015 NFL Draft.

After cornerback Trae Waynes went to the Minnesota Vikings with the No. 11 overall pick, the rest of the Spartans who were drafted played primarily on the other side of the ball in East Lansing.

Running back Jeremy Langford was the second Michigan State player picked as the Chicago Bears grabbed him in the fourth round with the No. 106 pick.

Two Michigan State wide receivers went in the fifth round as the Miami Dolphins took Tony Lippett with the 156th overall pick and the Houston Texans snagged Keith Mumphrey 19 picks later.
