Former Tech star Jace Amaro helps beloved Tech staffer battling cancer

Former Texas Tech star Jace Amaro hasn't forgotten the people who helped him along the way to a pro career with the New York Jets.

He certainly could never forget Jennie Bailey, the football secretary at Tech for 28 years. One year ago doctors gave her the shocking diagnoses of stage IV brain cancer. 

Over the weekend, Amaro paid Bailey a visit and brought along with him a framed signed Jets jersey. He shared a picture with Bailey on his Instagram account along with an emotional note.

Amaro is just one of the many former and current Tech players who have lifted Bailey's spirits as she fights the battle of her life. Earlier this month, the football program held a fundraiser in which an estimated 200 former players attended.
