Former Memphis player Reggis Ball offers apology to Auburn

Former Memphis defensive back Reggis Ball took to Facebook on Tuesday, posting a letter of apology addressed to Auburn athletic director Jay Jacobs.

During the conclusion of the Birmingham Bowl last month, Ball bizarrely ran over the Auburn side of the field. He procured a football from an Auburn team manager -- exerting some force in the process.

Despite being a senior, Ball was jettisoned from the football program.

Ball fully took responsibility for his actions during the incident, and even returned the football (with his signature) to the Auburn program.
