Five-star QB Malik Henry commits to Florida State

Malik Henry, a 247 Sports Composite five-star quarterback out of Westlake Village, Calif., committed to Florida State Thursday.

Scout.com considers Henry to be the third-best QB and 33rd overall recruit in the Class of 2016. He is 6-2, 175 pounds.

“I felt comfortable around coach Jimbo Fisher,” Henry told ESPN when asked to explain his decision. “I think he’s a great quarterback coach. He knows his stuff. And their offense is explosive, and I think I can see myself in their offense."

Henry has thrown for 1,932 yards and 15 touchdowns this season for the Westlake High School Warriors, according to Max Preps. He also has five rushing touchdowns.

He received offers from Auburn, Notre Dame, and Michigan State, among other schools.

In the ESPN interview, Henry said he would like to play baseball for the Seminoles as well.
