Five Miami Hurricanes Named All-ACC Week 13 by PFF

Pro Football Focus has named five Miami Hurricanes to the All-ACC team for Week 13 after the ‘Canes defeated Duke 40-21.

Miami Kicker Michael Badgley led the way by also being named to the national team for week 13. Badgley kicked four field goals, including two over 40 yards and added four extra points for a season high 16 points. His previous high was 15 in a 51-28 victory over Pittsburgh on November 5.  Five of Badgley’s nine kickoffs resulted in touchbacks.

Offensive Linemen Danny Isidora and RJ McIntosh, Linebacker Zach McCloud and Safety Jamal Carter were also recognized by Pro Football Focus. Based on PFF’s scoring system, Isidora scored out at a 80.9, McIntosh 84.2, McCloud 85.7 and Carter 84.8.

Isidora and McIntosh helped lead a Miami offense that totaled 568 yards on 65 plays. The Hurricanes rushed for 172 yards on 40 carries and Quarterback Brad Kaaya threw for a season high 396 yards and four touchdowns without an interception.

The Hurricanes offensive line did not allow a sack and only gave up six negative plays that totaled only a loss of 16 yards.

Carter had four solo tackles and nine assists for a total of a team high 13 tackles against the Blue Devils. McCloud had two tackles and four assists to finish with six tackles. The Hurricanes were tough on the Duke running game allowing 79 yards on 26 carries and keeping the Blue Devils ground game out of the End Zone.

Duke was able to move successfully through the air. Duke Quarterback Daniel Jones threw for 306 yards and three touchdowns without an interception. T.J. Rahming had ten receptions for 117 yards. Jones averages 276 yards per game this season.

The Hurricanes special teams did a great job against Duke’s Shaun Wilson. Wilson averages 25.0 yards on kickoff returns. The Hurricanes held him well under his average at 18.5 per return.

Mark Walton, Stacy Coley David Njoku and Kaaya all played well enough on offense to earn PFF’s All-ACC this week. Coley had nine catches for 118 yards and a touchdown in his final game at Hard Rock Stadium.

Walton finished with 106 yards of offense and a touchdown and Njoku had two catches for 134 yards and two touchdowns in what could be his final home game.

Defensively Rayshawn Jenkins also had outstanding games. Quarterman finished ten tackles, one pass defensed and two quarterback Hurries. Jenkins also had ten tackles, seven of which were solo.
