Fedora updates status of two suspended Tar Heels ahead of contest with Cavs
On Wednesday North Carolina head coach Larry Fedora updated the status of suspended players Mike Hughes and M.J. Stewart.
The two cornerbacks were suspended since early October for violating team rules, but it appears that Hughes, a freshman, will be reinstated for the Tar Heels (5-1, 2-0 ACC) home game against Virginia (2-4, 1-1 ACC) this Saturday, while Stewart, a sophomore, will join the club in time to play next week’s contest against Pitt.
Mike Hughes has been reinstated and will play against Virginia. MJ Stewart will be reinstated on Sunday and will play against Pitt. #UNC
