ESPN FPI Has Hogs Losing Remaining Games
Has ESPN slept through the wake-up call Arkansas has given the nation the past year? Judging by their FPI for the Hogs, I’d have to say most definitely.
Let’s start things off with the good old “to be fair” talk. The FPI, or football power index, has nothing to do with anyone’s opinions or predictions. The only person involved is the intern that inputs the data into a computer. The FPI results from a computer simulating the remaining season 10,000 times.
That being said, this is the dumbest thing I’ve read today. Honestly, I was kind of having a bad day until I saw this and now I can’t stop laughing. It’s puzzling but humorous.
ESPN FPI Results For Arkansas
Team Result
0-7
So according to this, Arkansas will be going 0-7 for the remainder of the season. I don’t know what the data looks like being entered but for a computer to say Arkansas has a 26.2% chance of beating a train-wreck at LSU, the data is wrong.
Yes. Arkansas is struggling at some spots but according to this, teams that are struggling in ALL spots are going to beat them. I get the percentile for Bama and Ole Miss but the rest of the games, I’m giving the Hogs either the win or a good chance at it.
