E. Kentucky 33, Tennessee St. 22

Matt Denham ran for two touchdowns and Eastern Kentucky defeated Tennessee State 33-22 on Saturday.

Denham had 226 yards on 35 carries, and has now tallied 584 yards over the last three games, all wins for the Colonels.

The Colonels (4-3, 3-1 Ohio Valley Conference) limited the Tigers (3-5, 2-3) to just 65 yards rushing, while tallying 375 yards on the ground.

Eastern Kentucky continued its run as the only OVC team to keep all its opponents to under 30 points. The Colonels' defense has forced at least one turnover in eight straight games, causing three against the Tigers.

Two of those turnovers were interceptions of Tennessee State's Michael German, ending his streak of 131 attempts without an interception.

German had 149 yards on 12 of 26 passing. Calvin McNairl caught six passes for 146 yards and an 89-yard touchdown for the Tigers, who had a two-game winning streak snapped.
