Duke Hall of Fame Inducts Seven New Members In 2016 Class

The Duke athletic department added seven new members in the school’s Hall of Fame during an induction ceremony in Cameron Indoor Stadium last night.

Duke Athletics recently inducted seven new members to the university’s athletic Hall of Fame. The 2016 class includes former athletes, an administrator, and a current head coach.

    The inductees for the 2016 Duke Hall of Fame class include men’s basketball players Shane Battier and Grant Hill, football player Ed Meadows, women’s golfer Virada Nirapathpongporn, women’s soccer player Kelly Walbert Cagle, former Director of the Varsity Club Mary Dinkins, and active women’s golf head coach Dan Brooks. Between them there are 10 national championships and many more All-America selections, national accolades, and awards. The induction ceremony was held in Cameron Indoor Stadium and nominees are selected by the Duke Athletics Hall of Fame committee.
