Devontae Booker: Michigan can have all the hype

First came the cupcakes. As game day fast approaches, it appears it's Michigan getting all the attention.

As far as Utah running back Devontae Booker is concerned, that's fine with him.

"They (Michigan) can have all the hype," said the Heisman hopeful via the Deseret Morning News.

That's pretty much the attitude Booker's teammates are taking as the Utes get set to kick off the season Thursday against Michigan.

Sure, the Wolverines are getting all the attention, what with a polarizing figure at the helm in Jim Harbaugh. But it's the Utes who are the favorites to win at home and also the victors in last year's meeting in Ann Arbor. It's safe to say the Utes are dancing the fine line between confident and arrogant heading into Thursday's matchup.

“I think the confidence is that we don’t really need to talk to anyone about it. We just show people what it is,” said linebacker Jared Norris when asked to compare confidence with cockiness. “Last year’s game had nothing to do with this year’s game … when you’re confident, you don’t really need to talk about it.”
