Could Byron Marshall play for Oregon again?

Senior wide receiver Byron Marshall's career at Oregon was thought to be over when he suffered a serious leg injury on Sept. 26 against Utah.

However, head coach Mark Helfrich was asked on Tuesday if there was a chance Marshall could apply for a medical hardship waiver.

“That’s ongoing,” Helfrich said, according to The Register-Guard. “Nothing has been, to my knowledge, decided one way or the other. It’s one of those things that there’s ongoing discussions and debate.”

If Marshall received the medical hardship waiver, he would be eligible to return to the Ducks next season. Marshall led the Ducks in rushing in 2013 and in receiving in 2014.
