Cory Johnson named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week
Kentucky won arguably the biggest game in the Mark Stoops era with their victory over a ranked Missouri team. Now one of their players has been singled out as one of the weekend's most dominant performers.
Defensive tackle Cory Johnson has been named the SEC's Defensive Lineman of the Week after his huge day against Mizzou:

Johnson incredibly led the team in tackles for his defensive tackle position, an act alone that would garner player of the week consideration.
• Had a career-high 11 tackles in Kentucky's win over Missouri, UK's first win over a ranked opponent since 2010.
• Combined with Josh Forrest on a 15-yard quarterback sack.
• Three of his tackles came on third downs, forcing Missouri punts.
• Seven of his tackles came on plays gaining three yards or less.
• Helped limit Mizzou to 13 points vs. an offense that came in averaging 23.3 points per game.
