Columbia ends 15-game losing streak to Harvard, 17-10 in OT

NEW YORK (AP) — Mike Roussos scored from 1-yard out to start overtime, Ben Mathiasmeier intercepted a pass on the next offensive play and Columbia beat Harvard 17-10 on Saturday to end a 15-game losing streak in the series.

Columbia (3-5, 2-3 Ivy League) beat Harvard for the first time since a 16-13 victory at Wien Stadium on November 8, 2003.

Columbia went on an 11-play drive late in the fourth quarter but stalled at Harvard's 8 and Alex Felkins made a short field goal to tie it at 10. The Crimson went three-and-out and the Lions got it back at their 30 with 1:22 left but chose to run out the clock.

Brogan McPartland highlighted overtime with a 25-yard grab to Harvard's 1 on third-and-11.

Ty Lenhart completed 17 of 25 passes for 153 yards and one touchdown for Columbia. He also carried it 19 times for 50 yards.

Jake Smith threw for 111 yards and a touchdown and Jake McIntyre added a shot field goal for Harvard (4-4, 2-3).
