Colter starts, Mark out for No. 19 Northwestern

Quarterback Kain Colter is starting at quarterback for No. 19 Northwestern against Syracuse on Saturday, but star running back Venric Mark is not playing.

Colter was questionable after suffering a concussion early in last week's season-opening win at California, forcing Trevor Siemian to carry the load. The two usually split time.

Mark is out with a lower body injury.
